Infomedia's developers and designers have been walking and running all over Birmingham, AL in Automattic’s Worldwide WordPress 5K 2016!
And just like that, summer is over. The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling down (finally!) and there are a little over three months left to make good on those plans to improve your physical fitness this year. So when the invitation to join Automattic’s WordPress 5K landed in my inbox, it only felt right to ask cajole bribe the rest of Infomedia’s team into lacing up their sneakers and breaking a sweat.
Ok, so it wasn’t really that difficult to round up the crew: Many of us do some sort of exercise on our own already. WordPress made it easy: Participants had a week to complete the 3.1 miles; we could run, walk or even skip, and we could choose a trail, track, or hit the treadmill.
Our fearless leader sweetened the deal by throwing in free lunch for the finishers and six pack of their choosing (Coke Life, anyone?). Enjoy these snapshots of what our team found as we walked (or ran) the WordPress 5K in and around Birmingham.
