Allow followers to hear your latest updates through the Alexa device.

You already know Alexa can answer your best trivia questions, and probably find that obscure song you only remember half the title to — but did you know that Amazon’s personal assistant device, Alexa, might help potential customers “read” your blog? Alexa has “Skill Blueprints” that act kind of like apps. Users can create flashcards, quizzes, interactive short stories and more under the Blueprints section, which gives the creator the option to share their content with other users. So how does all of this have anything to do with your business’s website? Well, one of Alexa Skills features the ability to add your WordPress blog feed to it.
Having your written blog read aloud can open it up to a wealth of new potential clients. From someone on-the-go looking for a change from podcasts to a visually impaired person who cannot view your website, there are many potential customers and blog readers you can reach by adding your blog to the Alexa Skill Blueprints section. Amazon has broken out the steps for how to do this process, which involves installing an Alexa AI plugin to your WordPress blog. Once you’ve finished the process, listeners only have to ask Alexa to open your blog, and they should hear Alexa reading your latest blog post.
There are a few customization options, too. You can create a unique greeting message that will be read before the blog posts. If you have pre-recorded audio, such as a university lecture or religious sermon, that can also be uploaded as a “post.” (Amazon reserves the right to review your audio recording, and it will only be readable by Alexa if they consider it appropriate.)
