Build Your Local Reach With Email Marketing

Email newsletters give you direct control over who sees your message. You don’t have to deal with ever-changing algorithms or unclear rules like you do on social media. Email marketing allows you to reach your audience right in their inbox, putting you on a level playing field with big brands. Join us for One Quick Coffee to hear how you can use email marketing to stay in touch, promote what’s new and build stronger relationships with your audience.

Sneak Peek:

  • Types of Newsletters: There are a ton of email platforms out there, and each one is best suited for different needs. We’ll talk about MailChimp, Constant Contact and Substack and how you can decide which one will work best for you.
  • Creating Content That Resonates: A great newsletter starts with great content. Learn how to craft attention-grabbing subject lines and deliver valuable, entertaining content that keeps your audience looking forward to your next email.
  • Building and Growing Your List: If you’re investing time into creating a newsletter, you want people to read it. We’ll cover practical tips for building your email list from scratch or growing your existing list.

Meet Carrie Rollwagen:

Carrie wrote the book on small business — literally. Her book and blog, The Localist, delves into the life of American small business owners, and she uses that experience to help our clients take their businesses to the next level online. Carrie has been copyediting and writing for fifteen years. Her skills were forged in the newsroom at The Birmingham Post-Herald, and she’s a huge book nerd (she cofounded Church Street Coffee & Books), but a love of paper and ink hasn’t stopped her from mastering the digital world as well: She’s had a blog pretty much since they existed, and she’s run social media for companies big and small. It doesn’t stop there — Carrie’s also our resident podcast host for One Quick Question with Infomedia, and she hosts her own podcast called The Localist.
