A defined scope of work is a detailed description of what a project will entail. It helps avoid project ambiguity, and it helps both us and our clients understand what should be done during the project. We send out a defined scope after we meet with the client for our Discovery Meeting.
The scope can be a long document, but it’s not intended to be a bad thing — it’s intended to provide project clarity and make sure we’re all on the same page. The scope is sent during the first phase of the project, before we do any design or development work. We encourage our clients to ask questions and double check anything that may be unclear.
Prior to sending out scopes to our clients, we ensure that they’re thoroughly reviewed by the whole team that will be working on the project.
