What should I be tracking with Google Analytics?

Pam Sanderson poses for a photo outside.

There are lots of things you can track using Google Analytics. Take a look at your audience, acquisition and behavior. Within the audience feature, you can see how many people are looking at your website. Acquisition shows you where your audience is coming from, and behavior shows you what your audience is doing once they get to your website.

It’s important to use this data to your advantage — you want to make sure that your audience is engaging with your website where you want them to. If you don’t see lots of engagement, you may want to think about refreshing your content or adding calls to action.

There’s really no end to what Google Analytics can show you — there’s so much data to decipher and use to your advantage. If you’re an Infomedia client, we’ll work with you directly to analyze and explain Analytics reports and use that information to maximize your website’s potential.
