When it comes to running social media for a business, the process is a little different from posting on your personal accounts. Consistency is important for businesses on social media, and that’s where a solid strategy comes into play.
There are lots of ways you can strategize, but here’s how we do it:
- Create a calendar to plan posts for the month.
- Gather content (copy for captions, graphics, images).
- Use a scheduling tool like Sprout Social to schedule posts automatically.
We generally plan our schedule one month in advance, and we plan and schedule our specific posts two weeks in advance — but you can adjust this based on what works best for you.
We work with our Media team to get photos, but if you don’t have that resource, we suggest shooting and editing ahead of time so that you’ll have content ready when you need it. And if you like a mix of photos and graphics, Canva is a great way to create branded content for social media, too (more on that here).
