The speakers for WordCamp Birmingham 2014 look to be fantastic. Looking forward to WP Y'all!
Here at Infomedia, WordCamp Birmingham is a really big deal. We design client sites using WordPress, and most of us are really big nerds (well, except for Leslie), so we like getting together with other developers, designers and content professionals to geek out for a whole day.
WordCamp is pretty great, not just for WordPress nerds like us, but for anyone who develops WordPress sites or uses the WordPress platform to create and update a site. I attended last year and learned enough to finally get my own site launched, and I know that lots of other people just getting started found a lot of inspiration as well.
The speaker lineup at this year’s WordCamp Birmingham looks amazing, and we’re excited to have a few Infomedians on the lineup. Here’s what we have for you, and be sure to head to the speaker page to see some of the other great speakers, and take a look at the schedule to see what looks best for you.
Using WordPress and SVG to Create Dynamic Maps
Kyle’s presenting Use WordPress and SVG to Create Dynamic Maps and Other Awesome Things. I don’t really know what that means, but Kyle’s pretty smart, and he’s a fantastic developer, so if you understand the title of that presentation, it’s probably the perfect session for you.
WordPress Beginner Workshop
Alex is teaching the Beginner Workshop with Kathy Drewien. In addition to his duties developing for Infomedia, Alex has proved himself invaluable in helping our customers get started and get help with their WordPress sites, so he’ll be fantastic at getting you started with WordPress.
Driving Blog Traffic without Driving Yourself Nuts
And finally, I’ll be teaching a class on Driving Blog Traffic without Driving Yourself Nuts. We’ll cover how to go beyond the impact you get with SEO and keywords by using social media and personal interactions to get readers for your blog — all without feeling overwhelmed.
Almost all of us at Infomedia will be attending sessions throughout the day. We love learning more about WordPress, getting new ideas for our clients, and we’ll take any opportunity to geek out. Whether you’re a WP professional or new to blogging, we hope to see you there — buy your tickets to WordPress Birmingham 2014 right here.
