There’s a common expression that says you can’t bottle success — but after watching all the good things happening to Coca-Cola United Bottling Company, I’m not so sure. This Birmingham-based business is a client of ours, and we’ve loved working with them and creating a site that works for their bottling plants. Now that site is poised to get a lot more traffic, because United is expanding their bottling operations to Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Coca-Cola — the people who bring us Sprite, Dasani, and my personal favorite, Coke Zero — contract franchisees to handle much of their bottling operations, giving local business owners the opportunity to become part of one of the biggest brands on the planet. We’re proud to have one of these franchisees headquartered right here in Birmingham (we’re even more proud that they’re our client), and it’s great to see a local company expanding.
“Today we mark another significant milestone in evolving our U.S. operations as we align for growth with Coca-Cola United – a partner that has proven success, taken a generational view and consistently invested in capabilities and leadership,” says Coke representative Sandy Douglas, President, North America about the expansion.
From a little closer to home, Claude B. Nielsen, Chief Executive Officer of Coca-Cola Bottling Company United echoes his sentiments: “Today’s announcement is evidence of our ongoing commitment to build, in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, an even stronger and more aligned System to serve North America,” he says.
We’re bubbling over with excitement over Coca-Cola United Bottling’s continued success — may they continue to blow the lid off the status quo! (Sorry, I had to sneak the soda puns in someplace.)
