As we all know, yesterday was Mother’s Day! A day of the year that provides us an extra opportunity to celebrate those that so lovingly brought us into the world, raised us until it was time to spread our wings, and then encouraged us to take flight and find our own way. We celebrate those that stood in […]
A few days ago I was browsing Fortune.com, checking out the point indexes on my mutual stocks and chatting with my financial advisor, Ira Roth. Or trying to anyway. I get the feeling he doesn’t respect me as much as his clients 59.5 and older. It was there that I came across the following article: […]

It’s just how it is. But regardless, we thought it would be fun to host an Infomedia […]

All of a sudden, a site looks like it was designed by a moderately-intelligent ape from the 90s, we change […]
Fun fact… the term “Infomedians” actually refers to a group of Irish web developers from the Birmingham region of Alabama. Because of this, we Infomedians had a blast celebrating all things Irish and green today. It’s St. Patrick’s Day after all! We even had green shirts made with lucky four leaf clovers on them to show our […]

As many of you already know our fearless leader, Jason Lovoy, has landed a spot in the Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2015.
Enrollment Advisors already has a strong presence in growth areas in Birmingham, with not one but two facilities at the heart of new growth — the Railroad Square facility and a call center on First Avenue South. Now Enrollment Advisors is growing even more, expanding their Railroad Park location at the old National Biscuit Company building (aka the Nabisco building) to more than double their total existing footprint.
It’s Valentine’s Day! Well, actually it’s Friday the 13th, but at Infomedia, we’re ignoring that nonsense and pretending today is Valentine’s instead. So, we all wore our red and brought our candy hearts and were going to prance around singing love songs all day…
We talk a lot about SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and it’s because SEO can have a big impact on the bottom line of your business. Google often changes their algorithm, making SEO more tricky — some of these Google’s algorithm changes are small, and some are really big. The real winner in SEO strategy these days? Going local. We’ve seen this trend coming for some time, but Google’s local focus is only growing as people search more locally and use their smartphones to search.
When it comes to copywriting, being funny and relatable can go a long way. Our copywriter breaks down 6 tips for better copy with examples from Taziki’s online menu: “It’s a good idea for companies to create copy with a personality. It makes them more relatable to customers, and it makes their products more memorable — if I can get you to laugh at a chicken salad joke, you’re more likely to remember the chicken salad. The key to making this strategy work, though, is to be sure the product information is clear; it doesn’t matter if your customers get the joke if they forget what the product is.”
February has finally arrived! That silly groundhog has seen his shadow, and Valentine’s is right around the corner. We thought long and hard and forecasted a few ways to weather you and your site over until that beautiful spring sunshine beams through the clouds again and the spring flowers begin to blossom. Here are 6 new things to do over the next 6 weeks until spring finally shows up: (with a slight Valentine’s theme because it’s February, and why not?)
News broke this morning that our own Birmingham, Alabama will host the 2021 World Games, and we’re excited. We’re also a little confused about what the World Games actually are, but let’s start with excited. These games could be a really good thing for Birmingham businesses because they’ll bring in tourism (and a little bit of fun), and that will boost our economy.
So January is kind of a bland and boring month. If it was a person it’d be Charlie Brown, if he was first magically transformed from a cartoon to a human. Kind of a waste of magic, but whatever.
There isn’t one huge, overarching theme to the month like Christmas for December or my birthday for February (the 15th, save gift ideas for the comment section). On the one hand, that makes it difficult to write a cohesive post for the month. On the other hand, deadlines exist. So here are the most relevant things you can do with your website before the Tyler’s Birthday Season rush starts next month.
Want people to visit your website? It takes 3 strategies: local optimization, pay-per-click & content marketing to come to the top of a Google search.

One of my favorite events this time of year is our annual Infomedia Christmas party. It’s a chance for us to get out of our normal office routine and mingle, not as coworkers, but as friends. It’s a chance for us to meet or reconnect with significant others and spouses all while enjoying great food […]
