Saturday October 17th was the annual North Central Alabama Race for the Cure put on by the Susan G. Komen foundation in honor and support of breast cancer awareness. Every year thousands gather downtown at Linn Park and race around the streets of Birmingham in either a 5k or a mile walk/run dressed from head to toe in pink and team t-shirts.
We believe it’s important to have fun even when you’re doing serious work, and we can get a bit passionate about inner-office competition (just ask anyone who’s competed for the Infomedia Halloween trophy), so it’s natural that we’re taking our training for the Susan G. News broke this morning that our own Birmingham, Alabama will host the 2021 World Games, and we’re excited. We’re also a little confused about what the World Games actually are, but let’s start with excited. These games could be a really good thing for Birmingham businesses because they’ll bring in tourism (and a little bit of fun), and that will boost our economy.
