Merchant Accounts
A Merchant Account is necessary for you to be able to take money from someone's charge card or checking account. This is very easy to set up and will only cost you about 10 minutes and no money. After the account is set up you will be able to take credit cards and electronic check payments. Everything is done online with an Internet Browser and you will not need a machine to enter the credit card information. Instead you will use an electronic terminal that will be supplied to you.

Infomedia does not handle the transactions but we have a strategic partnership with ChargeToday.com which is a 10 year old provider of merchant account services. They will charge you a small percentage which is explained below, but you will find that people like the option of paying on line and it will be well worth the small percentage they take.
What we do is supply you with a link to an online application for a credit card merchant account with ChargeToday.com. You will need your banking information as you will be setting up an agreement to allow ChargeToday.com to pull money out of your clients' credit cards and checking accounts and deposit that money in your checking account. Infomedia is not involved in this application. We are simply showing you the way and will assist you if you run into any questions you cannot answer.
Most of the questions except for 2 are asking your name, bank, account number etc. The 2 questions you will not know the answer to are the following:
